More food for you alternate-format types: I'll be holding a short (non-sanctioned) tournament at Gen*Con this year. Actually, I'll hold as many as I can, with 9 players per. V:TES Rapid Thought Thursday 7pm - 11pm Entry fee: $3 + G*C fee Non-sanctioned tournament. 3-player tables. 9 players per tournament. 45 minutes per round. Special rules: 40-70 card library. Banned cards: Minion Tap, Blood Doll, Tribute to the Master. If there's any interest (to be determined on-site), I'll run a few of these during the Week of Nightmares as well. Golconda? Autarkis Persecution? Khobar Towers? You've definitely hit the big ones, though. But without Minion Tap, I'd expect hardly anyone to play large vampires, ie let the weeniefest commence. Not that that's a bad thing, for an alternative format. :-) > If there's any interest (to be determined on-site), I'll run a few of > these during the Week of Nightmares as well. > (http://www.vtesinla.org/weekofnightmares.htm) You're gonna be there for the Week? Sweeeeeet! Josh weakened in la?

Interesting. So how did this set of rules come about? It looks geared to a fast game, but have you worked with this and decided these make good, competitive rules? Or is it a shot in the dark? How'd the whole idea come up? Fred

I'd have called it "after study and consideration", though. :-) [ quoted text not captured ]

Sweeeeeet! We actually had to lower the price for the floor spots near him in the room. Dude, that is so whacked...I was just mentioning to my local players last week that I wanted to run a tournament this month without Blood Doll, Minion Tap, or Tribute to the Master... At any rate, count me in. :) I'm still mulling over attending the Week of Nightmares... - Ben Peal, Prince of Boston fu...@mindstorm.com
