I have a question on how this card is used. Yesterday I was at a demo with Keith, Prince of Las Vegas and he said that the vampire with the Pier must tap during the influence phase to equip via the Pier 13. If this is the case the card is closer to wallpaper than the nice card I thought it was. Also noticed by the wording that pier is usable by a vampire in torpor because the equipping is not considered an action. I had thought that this was also why the vampire did not tap, because it is not considered an action. Any help appreciated Bradley -Archbishop of Las Vegas

If this is the case the card is closer to >wallpaper than the nice card I thought it was. Card text: Pier 13, Port of Baltimore [SW] Cardtype: Equipment Cost: 2 blood This equipment card represents a unique location and does not count as equipment while in play. During your influence phase, this minion may equip with a non-location, non-unique equipment card from your hand (this minion must meet the requirements, if any, of the equipment card). Pay the cost as normal. This is not an action and cannot be blocked. 1) Without specific card text to the contrary, only taking or blocking an action taps a vampire. 2) Equipping with Pier 13 is not an action, and it certainly isn't blocking. 3) Pier 13 lacks any cardtext referring in any way to tapping. Conclusion: Pier 13 does not tap the minion using it. >Also noticed by the wording that pier is usable by a vampire in torpor >because the equipping is not considered an action. You've got a point there, although larding equipment on a torpid vampire is going to make him a tastier and tastier target. gomi -- i haul the burden for the high and mighty but i'm the top hat devil's son i've got the luck of the drunk, try an' nail me i'm the bullseye - aim your gun

Correct. You must tap to take the action to get the Pier in the first place, but using the Pier's ability doesn't tap the vampire. > >Also noticed by the wording that pier is usable by a vampire in > >torpor because the equipping is not considered an action.
