Major Boon played to your Prey

I have read in a posting that there is no gain to play major boon to your prey, that you can only play it if someone else is bleeding him thing that is rare and stuff like this. So, lets talk serious: Madness Network scenario: use madness network to play out of turn, bleed your prey and play major boon on him. A pretty lame thing to do, but also useful. Then if you get bleeded you can burn it to force your prey to burn the pool. The simple deflection scenario: Use deflection to deflect a "small" bleed to your prey and play major boon. Don't underestimate the power of Major Boon played on your prey, this combined with deflections can make your power-bleeder predator experience a hell of a nightmare.

Major Boon [Jyhad:U, VTES:U, CE:U] Cardtype: Master Master: out-of-turn. <Put this card in play> when another Methuselah is successfully bled. Not usable if you control the acting minion. Modifiers to the bleed amount may be played after you play this card. You burn pool for the bleed instead of the target Methuselah (must be at least 1 pool). You may burn this card to have that Methuselah burn pool instead of you when you are successfully bled. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Cardlist.html Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com

Major Boon is not usable if you control the acting minion. Someone else's minion has to bleed in order for you to play Major Boon. And it cannot be your turn, of course. > The simple deflection scenario: Use deflection to deflect a "small" > bleed to your prey and play major boon. It's also kind of fun, but not nearly as rewarding, to use it on your predator when someone pings him for one. > Don't underestimate the power of Major Boon played on your prey, this > combined with deflections can make your power-bleeder predator > experience a hell of a nightmare. > It restricts all but the most fatalistic predators to 2-point bleeds.

Thats why my Toreador Boon-reduce deck won 2 torneys last year :) You have not known happiness until you have 6 boons on your prey, he is on 6 pool and you sudden his blood doll :) Kinda rubbish if you are not being bled very much though, but what deck is perfect. "...Modifiers to the bleed amount may be played after you play this card." and that bit makes it not so great when your power-bleeding predator is defelcted by you to you prey. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm (replace "hotmail" with "yahoo" to email)
