Those pesky "Requires ready..." cards

Am I right in assuming that all those bloody cards that say, "Requires ready Prince" or "Requires ready prince or justicar" or "Requires ready vampire with little blue polka dots on their outfit" or whatever actually have to be played by the vampire that fulfills those criteria. I know that 2nd Tradition has to be played by the Prince or Justicar (specifically ruled that way) but what about those cards that haven't. I'm specifically thinking of Atonement, 3rd Tradition and things like that. It would be best if that messy wording could be got rid of. LSJ, can you post the most recent versions of the errata and rulings again, and if necessary, clean up the wording on these cards. -- James Coupe (remove .nospam to reply) Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see, one chants out between two worlds, `Fire walk with me`

Mostly, yes. This is true of minion cards. Master cards that require <blah> are, of course, not played by the minion at all. If a minion card requires a particular skill, clan, title, etc. then the minion playing the card must meet that criterion. > I know that 2nd Tradition has to be played by the Prince or Justicar > (specifically ruled that way) but what about those cards that haven't. > I'm specifically thinking of Atonement, 3rd Tradition and things like > that. The wordings need no cleaning up. Minion cards are played by minions. The minion playing the card must meet the requirements stated on card text. -- L.
