Trophy / Gehenna Oddity

I'm playing a Trophy Hunter deck in a Gehenna Hell JOL Game. Right now there are many Gehenna Events in play, including Blood Weakens. Thetmes has just burned a Red List minion in combat, after playing three cards so my hand size is at 4. I intend to search my library for a Trophy. Do I do so before or after I redraw my hand size? (I have also seen the top card of my library due to Veil of Darkness, and I kind of want it). I'm guessing that I can't however, since the action hasn't fully concluded (Trophy hunt trigger is still a part of combat in this case, right? ). Now suppose this situation occured during a diablerie action and several stealth cards/disciplines were played to get past some intercept. Is it any different because the action is completed when the diablerie is successful? I know an action is successful when unblocked, but not finished until all associated combats are concluded as well. Does this mean timing rules associated with collecting Trophies are different when earned combat or as (D) actions? Thanks. Jeff

It's a part of diablerie, correct. [6.5.5.5] > Now suppose this situation occured during a diablerie action and > several stealth cards/disciplines were played to get past some > intercept. No. The diablerie isn't successful until it is resolved (including the 6.5.5.5 step). > I know an action is successful when unblocked, but not finished until > all associated combats are concluded as well. [ quoted text not captured ] Now suppose the action was Sacrificial Lamb. I'd assume based on this response that the Trophy collection resolves as part of the torpor burnage, not after the action resolves (so in a sense Trophy collection is "atomic" with any Red List combat/(D) action burn). Jeff

It's not "atomic" with the resolution of Sacrificial Lamb, no. It would occur after the action is resolved.

[ quoted text not captured ] I'm not exactly sure what either of you mean here. :-) But if I understand correctly, if you Sacrificial Lamb a Red Listed vampire and want to collect a Trophy for it, you would do so during the action but after resolving the effect of Sacrificial Lamb (ie burning the vampire). Much like a diablerie action, where you'd search for the Trophy as part of the diablerie, and then you would Freak Drive (if you were going to) after the diablerie + Trophy-finding but before the end of the action: you would search for the Trophy after resolving the burning of the vampire by Sacrificial Lamb, but before you would Freak Drive (though perhaps you could do these two in either order?), still within the action.
