Hi! I have a doubt on Undead Persistence. The card says: "This vampire gets an optional press. When combat ends, or if 3 rounds of combat pass with no cards played..." My interpretations is: This vampire gets one (optional) press to continue combat and IF no player plays a card then the combat has a minimum of 3 rounds "extra". (This makes me believe each round as a press.) Imagine that UP gives you only the first press and you must play extra presses as normal to continue combat. Then how can i get "3 rounds of combat with no cards played" as stated in the card text? Thanx! .- Luis....@ip.pt

That would be, "If there's also been a Trap played." ^_^ My guess is that the designers didn't want to make Trap/Undead Persistence too easy of a torporizing combo. There's a ruling on the Rulemonger page for Undead Persistence: "Provides only one optional press. Any further pressing must come from other cards. [TOM 951224] " Josh or maybe someone just went crazy with the cut&paste... -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

When combat ends, or if 3 rounds of combat pass with no cards played, this vampire is sent into torpor. > > My interpretations is: > This vampire gets one (optional) press to continue combat and IF no player > plays a > card then the combat has a minimum of 3 rounds "extra". Not one each round. > Imagine that UP gives you only the first press and you must play extra > presses as > normal to continue combat. This is correct. > Then how can i get "3 rounds of combat with no > cards > played" as stated in the card text? Use a Trap or Conquer the Beast. Or a combination of three of: Hawg, Mob Connections, Rat's Warning, superior Shadow of the Beast, superior Shadow of the Wolf, Mark of Damnation, Mind Tricks, Appolonius, and Marty Lechtansi. -- L.
