I am confused about the timing of the Purges, we had a deck using Madness Network, to call multiple purges in other players turns - fair enough. Then it gets to the player calling all the purges untap phase, there was two purges that had been called by the same vampire, how does this resolve. I would think resolve one purge start to finish, i.e. various vampires go to torpor including the caller, thus the second purge surely cannot kick off as vampire is in torpor. Help, Sam.

True, the purge burns, but the effect is Balimore Purge: Action Requires a ready vampire. If this vampire is Ravnos, this action is at +1 stealth. Put this card on the acting vampire. During your untap phase, burn this card, and each other Methuselah chooses a ready vampire he or she controls who is not older than this vampire. If you control a ready Lasombra, you choose the vampires instead. This vampire and the chosen vampires go to torpor. What I am asking, and I know you can choose the order of things in untap, is shouldn't the Purge be one complete action, start to finish, rather than Burn Purge A, choose vampires, Burn Purge B, choose vampires, then vampires go to torpor. Because it has been mentioned that if the Purging vampire is already in torpor - before untap phase, it will not work, but it works if vampire is in torpor in untap phase? The vampire being in torpor, before or during your untap phase, does not affect the burning of Baltimore Purge. Each of them is burned, in turn. http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3D9325E1.44D95A24%40white-wolf.com You can choose the order of them being burned, but as each is burned, the choices and torporisation effect is handled there and then, as part of that effect. http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3D8DFC20.FDEF0103%40white-wolf.com -- James Coupe PGP 0x5D623D5D uk.* Committee Elections in progress EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 13D7E668C3695D623D5D See uk.net.news.announce for more details

Ah ok, I've got it, just needed it clarified. Sam [ quoted text not captured ]

Right. Don't forget, though, that if the Purging vampire was the only Lasombra you controlled, and you have multiple Purges on it, only the first Purge you resolve would allow you to choose the vampires (since Baltimore Purge says "if you control a *ready* Lasombra"). (You're right, Sam, that you handle all of "burn purge A" before you go on to handling all of "burn purge B"; you were just mistaken in thinking that the Purge effects didn't happen if the Purging vampire was already in torpor.) Josh for additional clarity... maybe
