If a vampire of the appropriate clan plays one of the new Crusades (Barcelona, Brussels, Rome) does it untap if the action is successful, or only if the referendum is successful? Literal interpretation of the phrasing indicates the former, but comparison with the clan-linked Praxis Seizures suggests the latter (although a ruling was required for the Praxis Seizures). Also note the slight difference in wording in the last sentence of the Praxis Seizures vs the Crusades, i.e., "Prince" compared to "vampire". (The use of "Prince" would seem to imply a successful referendum is necessary; the use of "vampire" is less clear.) Cheers, Anthony Barker. "Titles: Blood capacity gained by gaining a title will be lost if the title is lost." [TOM 19960210] Name: Crusade: Barcelona [BH] Cardtype: Political Action Political Card - Worth 1 Vote. Called by any Sabbat vampire at +1 stealth. Successful referendum means the acting vampire is declared Archbishop of Barcelona. This could lead to a contested title. If this vampire is Tremere antitribu, he or she untaps during your next discard phase. Praxis Seizure: Barcelona [DS:U2] Cardtype: Political Action Capacity: [TREMERE ICON] Political Card - Worth 1 Vote. Called by any <Camarilla> vampire at +1 stealth. Successful <referendum> means the acting vampire is declared Prince of Barcelona. This could lead to a contested title. If the prince is Tremere, his or her capacity increases by 1. ________________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned using the CleanPort MEF antivirus system. Spiridonas repeatedly calls Praxis Barcelona and votes it down for infinite capacity ;P [obviously this wouldn't work -i just liked the idea]

Only if the referendum passes. As with all referendums' effects that are not explicitly independent of the results of the referendum. > Also note the slight difference in wording in the last sentence of the > Praxis Seizures vs the Crusades, i.e., "Prince" compared to "vampire". That's because the capacity bonus is tied to the praxis (lose the city, lose the bonus). The untap is not. If the referendum passes and the vampire begins contesting the archbishopric, the vampire (who is still not an archbishop) untaps during the discard phase. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
