Minion A plays a dodge, minion B plays a scorpion sting, what happens? Minion A plays a maneuver from his gun to long, requiring him to use the gun as his first strike. Minion B maneuvers close and plays immortal grapple, requiring both minions to use hand strikes only, what happens? T

Minion A must strike (chosen a strike) but cannot strike (Scorpion Sting). When a minion must do something, but cannot, they do nothing. >Minion A plays a maneuver from his gun to long, requiring him to use >the gun as his first strike. Minion B maneuvers close and plays >immortal grapple, requiring both minions to use hand strikes only, >what happens? Again, Minion A must strike (maneuver selection) but cannot strike (Immortal Grapple) so Minion A does not strike. This is one of the few situations where a strike of "No Strike" occurs. (Something that cannot occur voluntarily.) -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1F What's the meaning when you speak with so much feeling? B457CA213D7E6 Is it over when you're sober? Scorpion Stings nullifies the effect of dodge. "This strike cannot be dodged". If you want to 'think beyond the cards', it's a hand strike so swift and accurate that the dodger is hit even if he was on his guards - it's a strike you can't see coming like the famous tail of the scorpion. > Minion A plays a maneuver from his gun to long, requiring him to use > the gun as his first strike. Minion B maneuvers close and plays > immortal grapple, requiring both minions to use hand strikes only, > what happens? Minion A cannot use a strike at all for his first strike in the round because he's commited to use the gun strike -which is not allowed under immortal grapple. The minion is caught firmly by the grappling vampire who can strike. The grappled vampire still weilds his weapon but he can't really use it because of his oponen'ts raging grasp. However, if the gunner is able to play additional strikes, he can retaliate, but only with bare hands for his further strikes. clear enough ? reyda

Correct. >This is one of the few situations where a strike of "No Strike" occurs. >(Something that cannot occur voluntarily.) Correct. The default strike is a hand strike. To make some other strike, you need some other effect (like a strike card or some other card's effect) to use. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
