If one of my vampires has, say, Society of Leopold, Vampiric Disease, and Charnas the Imp on it, do I get to decide in which order the effects occur? For example, if it has 1 blood can I: gain 1 from a hunting ground, pay 1 to satisfy Leopold, take 1 damage from Charnas, and then burn the disease counter since it's at 0 blood? If a vampire cancels a political action with Telepathic Vote Counting, it's still prohibited from attempting a second political action that turn by "no repeat actions", correct? -- Justin Fang (jus...@ugcs.caltech.edu) This space intentionally left blank.

You can order the untap events in any way, with the stipulation that untapping all of your cards is the first thing that you do. So, you untap first. When you untap, Charnas deals one damage and you have to pay one blood for the disease or lose the disease counter. You deal with these side effects of untapping however you like: You can heal the damage and lose the disease counter, or you can burn the blood for the disease and go to torpor from the damage. Assuming the former, your vampire is now at zero blood. You can order the remaining "during untap phase" events in any way you like. If you deal with Society first, the vampire will be burned. If you use the HG to put a blood on the vampire, then you can burn that blood to satisfy Society. > If a vampire cancels a political action with Telepathic Vote Counting, it's > still prohibited from attempting a second political action that turn by "no > repeat actions", correct? That was my ruling, so yes (*). I'm still waiting on confirmation/review by the Rules Team, however. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@regency.wizards.com) Official VtES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. The rules team *did* review that ruling, and ruled the other way on it (VTES rulings July 97): 7) Delaying Tactics doesn't pretend that the political action was never taken; it simply cancels the voting process. Thus, it does not allow the acting minion to overcome the "no repeated action" rule, assuming that rule is in effect. [ quoted text not captured ]

i wonder if i'm going to make a good point or just stuff my foot in my mouth big time...oh well, here goes... Card text: Society of Leopold Unique Master Put this card on a vampire. During his or her controller's untap phase, the vampire with this card either burns 1 blood or is burned (the controller's choice). A vampire with this card can put it on any other vampire as a +1 stealth (D) action. [ quoted text not captured ]

Still suffering from sleep-deprivation from Gen Con, I guess. The RT supports my original answer, which was "Yes". Sorry for the confusion. [ quoted text not captured ]
