This situation recently came up at our last game: A Methuselah calls a vote, Dramatic Upheaval with Bribes. However, his intention is to card cycle, so he names himself as the Methuselah who changes place with himself. 1) Is this legal? Can the Methuselah name himself, with the net result of not changes places with anyone? 2) Does the acting Methuselah gain any blood from Bribes by "voting for himself?" (Or more generally, does any Methuselah who calls a vote with Bribes gain blood from the Bribe??) Now that I think of it, another situation came up: A Methuselah's minion was sewn-up (as we call it) with Sensory Deprivation. Can that Methuselah use untap cards such as Metro Underground etc. to untap and therefore take actions? Thanks in advance, Jason

He can choose himself, with the result of changing places with himself (net: no change). > 2) Does the acting Methuselah gain any blood from Bribes by "voting > for himself?" (Or more generally, does any Methuselah who calls a > vote with Bribes gain blood from the Bribe??) He doesn't have to vote for himself to gain pool from Bribes (card text). Any other Methuselah who casts at least one vote in favor and casts no votes against will gain a pool from Bribes (card text). > Now that I think of it, another situation came up: > > A Methuselah's minion was sewn-up (as we call it) with Sensory > Deprivation. Can that Methuselah use untap cards such as Metro > Underground etc. to untap and therefore take actions? Sure, since it is not prohibited from non-normal-untap-phase untapping or from taking actions. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
