Q1: We recently had a thread about 2nd Tradition - especially one thing was rather new to me (except from the fact that I originally raised the question *LOL* ); does the reacting Prince/Justicar need to actually attempt to BLOCK the action or is it enough for him to react to the action by untapping and playing a reaction card?! Is it necessary for the reacting minion actually to be able to block - following the wording of "Volker - The Puppet Prince", who is not able to block primogen., in order to use 2nd Tradition?? Is it not possible for "Volker" to use 2nd Trad. to untap and play, lets say, a deflection (even if the acting minion haven't got +2 stealth yet)??? Q2: Do playing an action modifier like bonding, actually require the current action to be a bleed action or could the acting minion use bonding at superior in order to gain the +1 stealth (and +1 bleed) for any other action???? Thanks in advance! Claus Staal -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG

No. >Is it necessary for >the reacting minion actually to be able to block - following the wording >of "Volker - The Puppet Prince", who is not able to block primogen., in >order to use 2nd Tradition?? You can't play something you can't do - e.g. you can't Eagle's Sight an unblockable action. This seems parallel, so I'd say no. >Is it not possible for "Volker" to use 2nd >Trad. to untap and play, lets say, a deflection (even if the acting >minion haven't got +2 stealth yet)??? No, you have to attempt a block. >Q2: Do playing an action modifier like bonding, actually require the >current action to be a bleed action or could the acting minion use >bonding at superior in order to gain the +1 stealth (and +1 bleed) for >any other action???? No, it has to be a bleed action. You can't add bleed to non-bleed actions. -- James Coupe but I lust after the raw pow0r of c. Correct. Can't play Second Tradition if you cannot (attempt to) block. > >Q2: Do playing an action modifier like bonding, actually require the > >current action to be a bleed action or could the acting minion use > >bonding at superior in order to gain the +1 stealth (and +1 bleed) for > >any other action???? > > No, it has to be a bleed action.
