Once it has been established that no one is going to block an action, or all such attempts have failed, the action can no longer be blocked, even if action modifiers are then used. So I can send my 1-bleed vampire over to bleed you, find out that you aren't going to block (and that the Anneke over there isn't), and then play Conditioning. The fact that I have now modified my action doesn't let you block after all. There are two things which *can* happen here, which might be what you saw: -> It's fine for you to play reaction cards, such as Telepathic Counter, at this point, since these aren't blocks. -> Some reactions, such as Telepathic Misdirection, specifically give a player another chance to block the action. >Secondly, what's wrong with Talbot's chainsaw? Exactly. Tablot's Chainsaw is *not* a nice card. Use at your own risk (and lots of it...) Tom Wylie rec.games.trading-cards.* Network Representative for aa...@cats.ucsc.edu Wizards of the Coast, Inc.
