Subject line said most of it... Our group was playing, and Heidelburg managed to totally throw the game out of whack. My Brujah/Toreador deck acted like it was on steroids the entire time, tossing sport bikes and submachine guns here there and everywhere. Is there any errata yet for this card, or does anyone have any suggestions? We thought about making it cost one pool per use or only usable on your turn or something like that. Toss replies up here or e-mail me. I can see a couple balancing effects, though. First, it is quite useful for almost any deck, by virtue of moving blood alone, and is therefore a prime target for contenstaion. As such a nice target, too, it is most certainly the first concern of steal/destroy location cards. Even so, it is very powerful, especially as the card reads. Consider: you're in combat, blocking. Actor: I'll strike with my fist. Blocker: Hold on <taps castle> I'll strike with my Ivory Bow, which was on my friend here in another part of the country not two minutes ago. Anyway, we felt this was the worst part of the abuse, so we simply prohibited using the castle during any action (once the action is declared, you're out of luck). It is still a nice and powerful card, but no longer overwhelmingly so. Another idea we had was limiting it's use to any Methuselah's untap phase, but the less restrictive house rule seems to work adequately. -Wallpaper Paste for all those useless cards
