[LSJ] Question: Clan impersonated Horatio Ballard or Maxwell

Hello LSJ, It's been ruled that sabbat or independent vampires cannot become prince(s). However, if either Horatio Ballard or Maxwell were clan impersonated (or deranged, or any other variant) into a sabbat or independent clan, would they still be allowed to take their innate action to become prince? I presume the answer is no. But I can imagine a 'take action for no effect' response as well.
