Simple question: Alia, God's Messenger, can play cards that require basic auspex or obeah. Can she play Glare of Lies at basic?

Can she play Glare of Lies at basic? I suspect the answer will be no. She would need explicit card text to be able to play cards that require Auspex and Obeah (like, and/or). -- Bye, Daneel

[ quoted text not captured ] Correct. Same as for Ian Forestal. -- That is my story, be it bitter or be it sweet. Keep a little and let a little come back to me. LSJ (vtesr...@TRAPwhite-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep (remove spam trap to reply) http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/

I thought Ian Forestal was limited by his "a Discipline" where "a" was interpreted as "one". Alia's "or" is not to be interpreted as a logical "or"? What about the new card (don't want to spoil card as a lot of people on this side yet have to play their pre-releases) that targets X vampires controlled by prey or predator? If X is two I can't target one vamp belonging to prey and one belonging to predator? When I have Barth ready and untapped, must I decide if his ability works on either prey or predator each time Barth becomes ready and untapped? Sten During

But he can't play Forced March. > Alia's "or" is not to be interpreted as a logical "or"? No, it is to be interpreted as a grammatical or. It is not to be interpreted as a superset of a logical "and". > What about the new card (don't want to spoil card as a lot of people > on this side yet have to play their pre-releases) that targets X > vampires controlled by prey or predator? If X is two I can't target > one vamp belonging to prey and one belonging to predator? You can. It will then be undirected. Each chosen minion is controlled by either your predator or your prey. None of the chosen minions is controlled by both your predator and your prey. > When I have Barth ready and untapped, must I decide if his ability > works on either prey or predator each time Barth becomes ready and > untapped? Similarly, no. [ quoted text not captured ]

[ quoted text not captured ] At [cel] [for], yes. He can only "pretend" the basic level of one discipline. -- - Gregory Stuart Pettigrew
