Hi Jon, Good to see you on the Net. I have two questions, the first you've seen a lot: 1) Is Slaughtering the Herd a Dominate or Potence card? It's printed with both symbols. 2) For purposes of the DCI's no repeat actions rule, if a minion is prevented from even attempting a particular action with Direct Intervention, can the minion attempt that action if a second copy of the DI'ed card is in hand? Thanks in advance. --- Eric Pettersen pe...@cgl.ucsf.edu (NeXTmail capable)

Some questions from the Sabbat set: On setting range: Who gets to set the range first? (I assume it is the acting vampire, but I want to make sure.) If range has been set, can it be set again? For example, if Cailean is in combat with Angelica, and Cailean sets the range to short, can Angelica now use Shadow Step to set the range to long? How does set range interact with Immortal Grapple? For example, can Shadow Step be used to set the range to long the second round of the Immortal Grapple effect? -- Robert Granat

Yep. > How does set range interact with Immortal Grapple? For example, can Shadow > Step be used to set the range to long the second round of the Immortal > Grapple effect? If Immortal Grapple was used at Superior, you skip the "determine range" step. Therefore, Shadow Step could not push it to Long Range. ------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Wilkie Wot...@aol.com a.k.a."Scalpel" Customer Service, Wizards of the Coast "This isn't going to have a happy ending" -Detective Somerset, Se7en -------------------------------------------------------------

But not if Cailean uses his special ability to set range and skip the Establish Range step. Only if he uses some other maneuver can Angelica use Shadow Step. I don't have the card in front of me, but doesn't the text on Cailean also state that the "establish range" step should be skipped? -- Robert Granat Lackey of the Schnitzel Industry
