Hello, what will be the official release date for the announced two new promo cards, Erciyes Fragment and Prophecies of Gehenna, and when will they be legal for use in tournaments (and, therefore, in the Propecies League itself)? Regards, Hardy Range Prince of Bochum, Germany http://www.vekn.de

March 1, 2004. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/league/ They become legal for regular constructed deck tournaments (and therefore for the league events) 30 days later, on March 31, 2004. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/veknRules.html#SEC4.3. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I'd like to express my disagreement. Since 1. the promo cards are conceptually tied to the league event, 2. all league players recieve their copies, and 3. the league progresses in an unequal pace at different gaming groups, allowing them to be used specifically at the league events seems appropriate. [ quoted text not captured ] You disagree that the cited sources say what they say? OK. The rest of your post seems to indicate not that your disagree, but that you have a preference for an alternate environment. [ quoted text not captured ]

I - as you adequately figured - disagree with their contents. Furthermore, I'm not saying that they do not say what they do say, but I'm saying that IMHO they should not say what they do say. There, your turn. ;) Best Wishes, Daneel

I didn't think the league events were sanctioned events, and as such any and all printed cards were allowed? There's no reporting requirement, no strict 'rounds', just games, etc. i assume the 30-day lag rule is to let people get used to new cards. if they're not playing with the new cards in their 'regular' social games, or their alternate league games, where exactly do they get the chance to get used to the new cards before they can be used in official tournaments? salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

[ quoted text not captured ] My problem with this is that it creates an unbalanced environment for the different games. the 30 days may equally well include 2 or 8 games, meaning that the promo cards will be useable at 9 or 3 events (a rather big difference). By the way, these weren't even extreme examples, just a 2в increment/decrement in weekly frequency. Bye, Daneel
