My, what a catchy title !! ;-) I was just wondering : with BH, we now have roughly equivalent numbers of vampires in each Clan, the balance seems about perfect ; some nice interesting new cards came out, it doesn't look like anymore are needed for game balance or interest. So, what will come up next ? Group 4 ? Whole new mechanisms ? Compatible games ? Or just more cards going on forever, needed or not ? My wishes : - no Group 4, ever - new mechanisms in Gehenna (and BIIIIIG vampires !!!) - then, totally different things, be they allies, Dark Ages, or whatever - and a longer schedule between releases ; 9 months at least, one year would be better (I'll put a poll on that subject on http://necrobones.free.fr). I'd rather not see any in Gehenna though... let WoD "die" with dignity and the already established CCG vampires. > - new mechanisms in Gehenna (and BIIIIIG vampires !!!) Time of Judgement related crossover cards for Gehenna. Various mage/werewolf/whatever allies (maybe even reprints of some of the more popular never-reprinted yet ones... Talaq, Nephandus or Black Spiral Buddy come to mind), some ally-related cards that make allies more attractive for play, some extra infernal vampires, that sort of thing. Oh, yeah, cap 11 vampires for Lasombra nad Tzimisce so that all main clans (antitibru don't count for this purpose) have one. > - then, totally different things, be they allies, Dark Ages, or whatever As I said, allies seem more fitting for Gehenna... Dark Ages? Sure, why not... Group "-1" or some such... Thomas

> My wishes : > > - no Group 4, ever why? as long as it remains on the same powerlevel i don't see a problem with it. I could think of vampires that invest less points in disciplins, but more in usefull specials, that way you have still a lot of options for different vampires > - new mechanisms in Gehenna (and BIIIIIG vampires !!!) i don't especially like new mechanisms and rules, big vampires no problem > - then, totally different things, be they allies, Dark Ages, or whatever more allies is allways cool > - and a longer schedule between releases ; 9 months at least, one year would > be better (I'll put a poll on that subject on http://necrobones.free.fr). That would be my main wish. The fact that only recently an Anarch-newsletter and some discussion on how to use Anarchs has started, shows to me that that set hasn't really settled yet, and the next set is there already...and in 6 months another... Also if the actual World of Darkness will finish... I'll hope that the card game continue without any problem (as stated by WW). But to keep the interest of the players I think WW doesn't need to create group 4 vamps... unless they plan to make a "different period" set. In that case: Dark Age VTES base set and following expansions about that period (and in this case it will be necessary the grouping to divide modern vamps from older) would be a very good choice. OLD Nagaraja (with Nihilistics), Cappadocii, SCARCE GIOVANNI (poor Orpheus!), NOT SCARCE Salubri, ... The game will be the same... the clans not :) and the tactics may change. Another important thing is to keep the interest without sucking all our money! So the return to 9 month gap between expansions will be appreciated.

My point exactly. Wouter said : > why? as long as it remains on the same powerlevel i don't see a > problem with it. My main problems with it are : - as of now, the Sabbat Clans don't have enough Group 3 compared to Camarilla - the Bloodlines wouldn't be compatible - contrarily to the VTES vampires, the Sabbatics were characters from the Wod storyline ; how could you imagine playing modern Lasombra without Talley, Polonia, Monçada, Gratiano (Lucita Adv is 3) ? I couldn't. Of course, there is the argument of : "you can still play without the Group 4". Great, I can. So why bother buying them ? The solution of choosing the time period seems the most interesting to me. > In that case: Dark Age VTES base set and following expansions about > that period (and in this case it will be necessary the grouping to > divide modern vamps from older) would be a very good choice. > OLD Nagaraja (with Nihilistics), Old Clan Tzimisce ? > Cappadocii, > SCARCE GIOVANNI (poor Orpheus!), NAAAAAAAH !!!!! :-(((((((( > NOT SCARCE Salubri, and Dark Ages Bloodlines. > The game will be the same... the clans not :) and the tactics may > change. I am not sure of anything, my Sabbatic host. ;-) But I do feel that the few BH cards remedied many lacks in the game. For example, more fight, vote for some forgotten Clans, Social Ladder as an alternative to Info Highway or Zilla's Valley, some alternatives to the Dreams or Barrens, etc. More cards can always be invented, but the game seems - about - balanced as it now now, to me at least. > > So, what will come up next ? > > Gehenna! At the moment! ;) What i was thinking about was that allies get more cards to play with. IIRC there is no card that does something specifically for/against demon allies, for example. So a demon-ally is just a normal ally. I want more cards that refer to types of allies. And once you have several other cards for mortals, demons, wraths, mages etc., as well as more mortal (wrath, mage, ..) allies, it would be nice to change memories to just work with mortal allies (because then you have several other similar cards for the other types of allies). So then each ally has it's own, but different, booster. I just can't think of a vampire "remembering his mortal days" when he faces a war ghoul or herald ;)

Interesting, but then it would really need an "allies" expansion (or several). > I just can't think of a vampire "remembering his mortal days" when he > faces a war ghoul or herald ;) I understand that very much. Although you'll have to admit that the Shambling Hordes can confront you to what you once were, and what you might have become... ;-) Orpheus

So it can be combined with one odd group. I consider 1 to be odd too ;) So group 2 can be mixed with group 1 _or_ group 3 _or_ group 5 etc. etc. etc. > > What i was thinking about was that allies get more cards to play with. > > IIRC there is no card that does something specifically for/against > > demon allies, for example. Whereas an ally expansion would be tempting, i think a whole expansion centering around allies would be too much. After all, it should remain a game about vampires. I guess there are about 5 types of allies. Giving each type 2 booster and 3 new allies would result in about 25 new cards. That should pose no problem to add to any expansion. > > > I just can't think of a vampire "remembering his mortal days" when he > > faces a war ghoul or herald ;) > > I understand that very much. > >Speaking of Dark Ages, why not a Group 0 ? > > because they could be used with group 1? Yes. That was the intent. Then the largely available (to players) pool of 1/2 vampires would be surrounded by 3 and 0 instead of putting group 4 to the end of the chain which makes any pre-cam-ed vampires completely useless (when playing with the new group). Probably there could be even a "wrap-around" rule making the vampires of 0 both usable with 1 and 3, in this case the new group can be also called 4, of course :-) [ quoted text not captured ]
