Is a Prince neccesary? (LSJ or someone from WW)

Hello everyone, but mostly LSJ or whoever is somewhat official. We in the Chicagoland area no longer have a Prince (that position used to be held by yours truly). And we where wondering if a Prince is really needed to hold tourneys. Mostly for the fact that no one else want's to be the Prince and so we won't be having one for the forseeable future. We have 2-3 stores that carry the product and would be able to hold them at, but some people worry about the sanctioning and points. Hey I just want to be able to play. Thanx in advance.
