Thought on new layout.

I have been thinking about the new layout, and while I see nothing wrong with the old one, we did talk about several issues with the layout while at origins. It seems like the new lay out with make it very difficult to tell library cards from crypt cards. Putting out a short term investment will look alot like another vampire from across the table. The sudden switch of the disciplines on vampires from one side to the other will also be a source of confusion. What I think they should have done...had anyone asked...was make the library cards they way they are. But the vampires should have amber status bars. So that they match the back of the crypt cards. For and easy color coding of cards. And the amber bar for vampires should have been seated on the right hand side of the card. Allowing disciplines to remain is relatively the same place for both vampires and library cards. It would have been a great place to store the red pool cost, disciplines, and clan symbol. Instead of having stupid symbols just all over the place in no way related to the older cards. Just seems like, vampire wise, the art director has never even played the game before. =( Looks are in no way related to my intense dislike for the other changes in the set. Just keep telling yourself...dog poo the eternal struggle. -- Aaron The Nosferatu Stuff

[ quoted text not captured ] Yeah, and what is with changing the backgrounds of the clans. People need those bacgrounds man, thats screwed up. The old backgrounds were pretty damn good. The toreador are flowery, the Malks penned up in an Asylum, and the Ventrue the traditional Royal Blue. These were good colors. PLUS, Vitel is a LASOMBRA. A LASOMBRA, not a Ventrue. Lasombras can be Cam Princes too, you know. And why release a turncoat as the face for the new "Camarilla" expansion. Sure it's cool and all, but wouldn't another character from the books be better, like that weiner toreador who gets ahold of that gross eyeball thing. He would rule. Just think of the illustration on that bad boy. Tired, Tim Bowen Columbus, OH

Besides, how do you tell a Short-Term Investment from an Anarch Revolt currently? (I can't tell you how many complaints I've gotten over that one in the past years :-) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. > Actually, Leopold turned out to be a Tremere Antitribu... This part confused the hell out of me. In fact, just about the entire end confused the hell out of me. First Victoria is told that Leopold is her childe. Then the surviving peon !Tremere (can't remember his name) is obsessing on Leopold then you find out that he is Leo's sire... It just seemed that revelation came from nowhere. Why was Leopold planted where he was? Just to assassinate that Justicar? (another revelation that comes from nowhere) Sorrow --- Through the screams of falling steel. By the light of flares and wisdom. All the doubts I could not face. All this time I wanted more. With a line I'll mark the past as a symbol of beginning. To the gods whose names we've lost and the names who gave in vain.

I sorta thought that Leopold WAS physically Embraced by Victoria. Then Dominate was used on them both to forget it. Nicolai the surviving !Tremere then used him for his artistic ability in making the statue to help murder Petrodon the Nos Justicar. Benito Giovanni's involvement is why he got whacked by the Nossie's in the Petrodon plot. Apparently Leopold was just designed to help kill Petrodon then Nicolai found out he had the Eye, and tried to use him. But by then the Tzmisce 'Dragon' had corrupted the Eye too much and it led to that whole destructive mess. At least that's how I remember/understand it.
