This came up in a game the other day, I think I got it right, but thought I'd double-check. Nothing came up in a couple of quick google searchs, so I apologize if my google-fu is weak. Player A bleeds with card 1. Player B cancels card 1 with DoAF. I then suggested that it was okay for Player A to bleed cardlessly (or with another card), as the wording on DoAF is similar to the wording on Red Herring. "...cannot attempt the same action again this turn." Rather than, say, cannot attempt the same TYPE of action this turn or something. Or an option to continue unless a bleed or political action. Etc. Was this correct, or is there something I missed? Denial of Aphrodite's Favor Cardtype: Combat/Reaction Discipline: Dominate & Fortitude [dom][for] <Cancel> an action card a younger vampire plays that requires Presence [pre] as it is played. That card has no effect. {No cost is paid.} Untap the acting vampire; that vampire cannot attempt the same action again this turn. [DOM][FOR] <Cancel> an action modifier or combat card a younger vampire plays that requires Presence [pre] as it is played. That card has no effect. {No cost is paid.} Xian demystified

You seem to be correct. The wording on Red Herring and Denial match in the "...cannot attempt the same action again this turn..." The only difference here is that Red Herring enforces this rule on all vampires, whereas Denial enforces it only on a single vampire. David

The prohibition against bleeding twice doesn't come to bear, since the minion didn't bleed at all with card 1. And card text only prohibits "same action", as you say. -- LSJ (vtesr...@TRAPwhite-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep (remove spam trap to reply) Links to V:TES news, rules, cards, utilities, and tournament calendar: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/
