Scenario: Acting minion A is in combat with blocking minion B. A: Pre-range: Torn Signpost. Done. B: Carrion Crows, Increased Strength. Do you any more pre-range? A: Nope B: Increased Strength Is this legal? It is a double-pass system where a long as one person is playing cards you keep going back and forth? Or does B only get a second chance to play more pre-range in response to A also playing more pre-range? -Ben Swainbank

>A: Pre-range: Torn Signpost. Done. >B: Carrion Crows, Increased Strength. Do you any more pre-range? Fine. Though note that A has a chance to play cards after the Carrion Crows but before the Increased Strength is played. >A: Nope >B: Increased Strength > >Is this legal? Yes it's legal. >It is a double-pass system where a long as one person >is playing cards you keep going back and forth? Or does B only get a >second chance to play more pre-range in response to A also playing >more pre-range? The former. Play continues until both players pass. At every instance, the acting player has the first chance to play something. So he can play 10 Increased Strengths before the other player can play a Terror Frenzy. On the other hand, if the other player wants to play 10 Increased Strengths, the acting minion could play Terror Frenzy at any point in between (or before) them. Note however that if Player A passes and then Player B passes, Player A does not have a chance to play anything more. The window of opportunity has already closed. As soon as Player B passes, then you move on (since Player B doesn't get an opportunity to do anything until Player A has passed). Pedantic note: After both Player A and Player B pass, the other players then have the chance to play things. Nosferatu Putrescence anyone? =D Halcyan 2

Correct. As you note, the actual exchange is: A: Torn Signpost A: Nothing else before range. B: Carrion Crows A: Nothing else before range. B: Increased Strength. A: Nothing else before range. B: Increased Strength. A: Nothing else before range. B: Nothing else before range. >>It is a double-pass system where a long as one person >>is playing cards you keep going back and forth? So, I take it then that following is NOT legal: A: Pre-range: Torn Signpost. Do you have any pre-range? B: Nope. A: Carrion Crows... A passes by providing B a chance to play. Unless B plays a card, A can not respond and the phase is over? -Ben Swainbank

When Player A asks Player B is he wants to play anything (and thereby implicitly passing) he loses the opportunity to play more cards if Player B also passes. Halcyan 2
