What damage is considered to be "inflicted" by a minion? Only damage from strikes and damage that uses the word inflict?

Online rulings: Damage (Combat) Damage is only considered to have come from a minion if the damage is from a strike or if an effect specifically states that the damage is dealt by the minion. Damage from other effects is considered "environmental," and has no particular source. [RTR 19970630] -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Damage from other effects is considered "environmental," and has no > particular source. [RTR 19970630] I was wondering because of the wording of Pulled Fangs. "Only usable at the end of a round of combat in which this minion inflicted more damage at close range than the opposing vampire. Not usable by a dying ally or a vampire going into torpor. Put this card on the opposing vampire and inflict 1 point of damage. The victim cannot hunt until this card is removed. Any vampire(s) may burn this card with two +1 stealth (D) actions. If the victim must hunt and cannot, he or she goes into torpor. A vampire can have only one Pulled Fangs." And Riposte "[cel] Strike: combat ends [and inflict 1 damage to the opposing minion once combat ends] if the range is close (damage not preventable). Not usable on the first round of combat. [CEL] As above, but inflict 2 damage." It doesn't explicitly say that the damage is inflicted by the minion playing the card but the fact that it has the word inflict to me indicates that it is being inflicted by the minion which played the card. As opposed to "takes x damage effects" where the damage, even if the damage dealt is the result of a successful strike is not considered to be done by the minion playing the card, simply because it does not use the word inflict or say "this vampire deals x damage...".

You're not alone. That's what it means. [ quoted text not captured ]

That's what it means. *looks behind* Shit! Don't do that to me, it's 01:00 here, The BoogeyMan(S) might have gotten out again. Damn those animated movies that I only seen previews of, they get me all jittery.
