Contested cards that move around?

Although this situation hasn't come up, I think it is possible. I play Curse of Nicrotis, or Millicent Smith or Society of Leopold or Uriah Winter or a variety of other unique cards that move around the table. What happens if that card becomes contested? More precisely, who has control of the card that has been moving around? Since they are the person who gets to pay pool for the contestment. I think that in most cases the controller would just cede, but you never know what those Malkavian decks might be up to. -- Jack Vinson "You have to be sleeping with vin...@unagi.cis.upenn.edu at least one person to be http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~vinson/home.html non-monogamous." The person who brought the item/place/whatever out is the owner and therefore chooses whether to contest it or not.

I believe Curse of Nitocris also uses the words "control passes to" (or something to that effect) therefore, the current controller would pay pool or burn. A similar example would be: you purchase a Flamethrower, I steal it with Fast Hands (superior), Peace Treaty is called. Who pays the pool to keep the weapon in play? Controller or the one who brought out the card? The controller. Where it would be different is if the master card does not state that "control" passes to another. Then I would agree that the one who brought the card into play is the controller. -- Dale Hurtt dhu...@harris.com

If a card played on a minion gets contested, such as Society of Leopold or a Aron's Feeding Razor, then just that card gets contested. The minion itself will be free to act, and can continue to use any uncontested cards that it has.
