I've read a couple Halloween themed Magic articles recently where the art of the cards is stressed. Some of it is junk, of course. But, there is such a thing as good art in CCGs, Jyhad/V:TES has just never bothered.

How about getting Tim Bradstreet (spelling) in and getting Christopher Shy to do non-vampire cards? Shy is a great artist but I think people have had enough of him just doing vampires. [ quoted text not captured ]

Given that all the manga-style stuff I can think of OTOH has been for combat cards (Diversion, Shakar, one of the Holds), I think it's entirely fitting. I would have a problem if some of the crypt portraits were manga-style, but I'm all for the new art as long as it's appropriate to what the cards is/does. Kushiel
