Sorry for the tardiness of this post. I've been busy. Check the
new format :-) This is it - all there is. I've eliminated the
rulings and clarifications (which contributed the bulk of the
size of the previous postings).
Errata (including errata to Jyhad cards that was fixed in VtES)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Terminology
* "Active" means "Controlled", not just "Ready".
(Extensive changes to the rulebook, replacing "Active"
with "Ready" where "Active" was used for the old
definition of "Ready").
Directed actions
* All actions directed at a Methuselah other than the
controller of the acting minion or at cards controlled
by such a Methuselah on cards that do not have the (D)
symbol have errata to add the (D) symbol, except The
Treatment, Fire Dance, Mind of a Child, and Of Noble
Blood
* The (D) symbol allows the action to be directed at any
target.
Blocking
* You cannot add stealth or intercept unless it is needed.
(Original errata to the VtES rules, 17)
Combat
* Each round of combat begins at close range (errata to
VtES rulebook).
* Cards which are not usable by vampires going to Torpor
are not usable by vampires burned in combat, either.

strike(s).

As above, but usable when choosing a strike."

* The political action symbol is missing, but it is a
political action.
Fame - Unique Master
* Fame is a unique master card, and should be contested as
such.
Hawg - Equipment, Vehicle
* Grants one (optional) Press each combat, not each turn
(Jyhad) nor each round (VtES).
Hector Sosa - Vampire (Bru) (4)
* VtES version should have superior Potence, as in Jyhad.
Hidden Lurker - Action (ob)
* Is an action modifier played by a vampire other than the
acting vampire. Card text: "Usable only by an untapped
vampire other than the acting minion after the acting
minion is blocked and combat is over. Tap this vampire.
This vampire now enters combat with the blocking minion.
The first round of combat, the blocking minion cannot
use any strikes. Superior: As above, but with an

attempts to inflict aggravated damage. Combat ends, and
that vampire goes into torpor. During the vampire's
controller's next untap phase, burn this card instead of
untapping the vampire."

* Sets a vampire's base hand damage to 2 (or 3 if
superior).

Entered'.

"burn Akhentanen to burn a Follower of Set".

blood during combat due to paying costs - it only kicks
in as the result of combat effects.
Blood to Water [AH] - Combat (th) (2)
* Blood to Water can't be played until range is
determined.
Blythe Candelaria [DS] - Vampire (Tre) (3)
* Blythe Candelaria is mis-printed. She should have
inferior, not superior, Auspex.
Clan Loyalty [DS] - Action Modifier (1)
* Ignore the word "other"; the vampire currently
attempting to block the action is also not allowed to
attempt to block the acting vampire this turn.
Dreams of the Sphinx [AH] - Master (1)
* Increased hand size only lasts until the end of the
current turn, not until the end of your (next) turn.
Elder Impersonation [AH] - Action Modifier (ob)

* The restriction against playing modifiers to further
increase bleed only applies if you use its superior
ability.

* Phobia is controlled by the Methuselah who played it.

* Regina Giovanni reduces the cost of any ally or retainer
she employs or recruits by 1; both blood and pool costs
can be affected by this.
Rutor's Hand [DS] - Action (th) (1)
* To prevent the damage from Rutor's Hand (superior
version), treat it as if you are being struck in combat
(i.e., use combat cards, Flak Jackets, etc.)
Sacrificial Lamb [DS] - Action (ob) (3)
* The superior version of Sacrificial Lamb must (not
"may") target a vampire in another Methuselah's torpor
region.

* Is a (D) action in both its normal and superior forms.
Shackles of Enkindu [DS] - Equipment (Gan) (2)

* The basic version is a (D) directed action.
Soul Stealing [DS] - Action Modifier{/Combat} (ne)

* Temptation is controlled by the Methuselah who played
it.
Thoughts Betrayed [DS] - Combat (do) (2)

used as appropriate.
* Thoughts Betrayed is played "as combat is entered" -
will not prevent reaction cards from being played.
Tomb of Ramses III - Master Unique Location (3)
* Tomb of Ramses is not "put on a vampire in the
uncontrolled region". It merely targets such a vampire.
Tremere Convocation [DS] - Master (Tre) (1)
* Second sentence of Tremere Convocation should read:
"Vampires with basic Thaumaturgy may play combat cards
requiring Thaumaturgy as if they had superior
Thaumaturgy."

* The normal (only) version of Trick of Danya is a (D)
action.

(directed at the Meth. that played it).
Blood of Acid [SAB] - combat (Vic) (2)
* The effect of Blood of Acid is only applied when the
range is close.
Bonecraft [SAB] - combat (vis) (1)
* The "(This does not affect the Strike Resolution step
this round.)" reminder text on Bonecraft is properly
read as "(This does not affect the current pair of
Strike Resolution steps.)". That is, any additional
strikes after the strike that was annnounced with the
Bonecraft strike will be affected.
Cardinal Sin: Failure of Mission - reaction (2)
* Entering combat with Cardinal Sin: Failure of Mission is
a (D) action.

ends.

his controller's untap phase, he may burn 1 blood to
untap."
Detection [SAB] - master
* Detection should read: "Put this card on a Lasombra. The
vampire with this card does not untap as normal. During
his controller's untap phase, this vampire may burn 1
blood to untap. The vampire with this card cannot cast
votes. The vampire with this card may burn this card as
a (D) action."
Goth Band [SAB] - ally (TorA) (2)
* The counter moved to your master card by Goth Band is
transformed into the type of counter normally used by
the target master card.
Mind Rape [SAB] - action (dom) (2)
* The counters on Mind Rape are burned only during your
untap phase.
Reform Body [SAB] - combat+reaction (vis)
* The vampire need not be untapped to play Reform Body.
Thanks for the Donation [SAB] - action (dom)
* Thanks for the Donation stays in play even though it is
a minion card and the minion it is on is contested.
Treat it as if it says: "Put this card into play and
choose a card your are contesting with another
Methuselah..."
