"0 or less" a vampire is never at less than 0. A vampire at 0 is not headed for topor until it takes another point of damage. Yes, it is redundant to do one point of agg on a vamp headed to torpor.

This *is* an interesting question. :-) I normally don't try to answer questions I'm not sure of, but I think this one is destined for an official ruling, and I wanted to get in my vote. ;-) I don't believe a Brujah Frenzy can be played on a Brujah leaving torpor, because combat cannot ensue. This matches, IMHO, what the Brujah Frenzy is supposed to represent: the tendency of Brujah to become enraged and strike out at "bystanders". A Brujah in torpor obviously isn't going to have any "bystanders" to strike out at... > 2) Please confirm or deny: a single point of aggravated damage can never > burn a vampire. If a vampire is already going to torpor, taking one point of aggravated damage is redundant. papillo the ectoplasmic

Unfortunately WotC never counters card text with logic. Misprints excluded. :-) The action is blocked. A pecedent set by blocking a vampire leaving torpor (and by the text on Rapid Healing when it is blocked) is that a vampire in torpor which enters combat may be diablerized by the other combatant (if a vampire is the other combatant, of course). Otherwise, is the opposing minion does not diablerize, "combat", such that is was, is over before it can begin. No combat cards may be burned, Lady Thunder can't be activated, *nothing happens*. Course, that's just my opinion. It makes since, it follows precedent, and it doesn't roll over card text. If you like it, adopt it. If not, hold your breath until Tom answers the question :-) L. The card says that action resumes where it left off, with the new vampire taking the place of the old one. Well, the action was that my old vampire was going to be diablerized. I assume the new one gets to actually fight back. >> What happens if the action the Brujah was taking was "Get out of Torpor"? >> Does combat ensue, or does the designated other minion get a Diablerize/ >> Rescure opportunity? >This *is* an interesting question. :-) I normally don't try to answer >questions I'm not sure of, but I think this one is destined for an >official ruling, and I wanted to get in my vote. ;-) I don't believe >a Brujah Frenzy can be played on a Brujah leaving torpor, because combat >cannot ensue. >This matches, IMHO, what the Brujah Frenzy is supposed to represent: the >tendency of Brujah to become enraged and strike out at "bystanders". >A Brujah in torpor obviously isn't going to have any "bystanders" to >strike out at... First off, does the card have to be played on a ready Brujah? That would solve the problem right there. Actually, torpor doesn't really mean torpor. the best example is Rotschreck. This causes the vampire to be helpless due to fear for two turns (unless someone comes and slaps her,) which is represented by torpor. I think the best way to explain torpor is "a state of demoralized uselessness to a Methusalah." Still, I agree a good meta-rule is that vampires in torpor may never enter combat, no matter what.

The poor schmoe blocking that action is obviously in for more of a fight than he thought. (unless Mask can only be used before the action is blocked, and I don't think that this is the case). L. Scott
