I've heard people mention "illegal" crypt and other comments like "group 3 vampires can't be in a crypt with group 1 vampires. " I've looked in the tourney rules and didn't see any restrictions to deck construction aside from the banned cards. I have just gotten back into the game so I must have missed something somewhere. Can someone clarify? Thanks Mike

Group 3: Any vampire with a "group 3" icon printed on them (right now only Camarilla Edition vampires). You can only make a crypt with 2 consecutive group numbers, i.e. group 1 and 2 or group 2 and 3, but not groups 1 and 3 in the same crypt. Old vampires (any from before Camarilla) are still perfectly useable in both a legal and play value sense--tier 3 vampires aren't any better than earlier vampires, generally speaking, and you'll still be perfectly competetive without ever using tier 3 vampires. Bascially, they wanted to be able to print 100 new vampires without having to worry about super optimized crypts ruining game balance, and this was the best solution. [ quoted text not captured ] Tournament rules are built on the standard rules of the game. The standard rules of the game prohibit mixing non-adjacent groups in the same crypt.
