my local group had a tiny dispute today (ending in a coin toss) over the following situation: Roman was in combat with Sabine. At close range, Sabine stole two blood from Roman, and Roman punched Sabine for one. Now, come strike resolution time, Roman decides to play Wolf Claws. However, Sabine's ToV would reduce Roman to zero blood. The Gangrel's Methuselah insisted that the blood was not actually stolen until Roman had the opportunity to play Wolf Claws (and hence, lose a blood point), whereas the Tremere's Methuselah felt very strongly that Roman was at zero blood before he had the opportunity to claw Sabine. We appeal to the rule mongerers for clarification. If it makes any difference, Roman was the acting minion. thanks. ----- -> (yor...@cybercom.net)

Wolf Claws is played before strike resolution (but can be played after both strikes are announced). The steal blood would therefore not resolve until after Claws had been paid for. Playing Claws after strike resolution is pointless, since it wouldn't retro the damage already resolved to aggravated.
