When will the GD Kindred's Most Wanted preview start! And while I'm in a ranting mood, who in god's name commissioned the art for Echo?! It seems that the more and more money that get poured into vtes, the crappier the art gets. See Ferox advanced, Tabitha Fisk, etc. (Notable exception, Crusade: Istanbul...) Am I wrong on this? Lemme know, Naz

Ferrox Advanced is a fantastic portrait. Echo is perfectly reasonable (what is wrong with it? I mean, yeah, her teeth are a tad ambigious, but overall, a certainly competent and appropriate illustration). Peter D Bakija pd...@lightlink.com http://www.lightlink.com/pdb6 "How does this end?" Peter your right Ferrox Advanced is a very nice picture - However why the hell does he look like that The non advanced Ferrox is mostly human as WoD mythos suggests - Advanced seems to be some kinda beasty. As I don't play the role playing game, I don't really so much know. Nor am I really concerned. Both illustrations strike me as perfectly reasonable. [ quoted text not captured ]

I'm just saying that I could do that (ADV) with some chalks and ink. You're commissioned to do artwork as a professional, it should be professional quality... Especially with the Nos and !Nos, there is pretty much carte-blanche with what you can do. The best we can do is fangs and the staple nos deformity?... Snore... I'm just tired of the staple "dark vampire portrait" and crappy plays on old old OLD ideas. I just would rather more "Cock Robin", Pieterzoon Base, Biltmore, Matthias or Pascek type portraits, and less Echo, ferox ADV, Pieterzoon ADV, Benezri base types... -N

And chalks and ink are a perfectly reasonable working medium, so I'm not quite sure what that means, either. This illustration is creative, well rendered, reasonably proportionate with interesting colors and good detail. Heck--he is wearing funny religious vestments. Good stuff. > You're commissioned to do artwork as a > professional, it should be professional quality... I'm at a loss as to how Ferrox Advanced is not of professional quality. Really. There are far, far cruddier vampire portraits in the set, some by some very well established artists. Why pick on Ferrox, which is even very well rendered? [ quoted text not captured ]

Yeah Ferrox Advanced is a very well done portrait - and since this thread started with someone comparing new art work to the old art work... Get a copy of Ferrox Advanced put it next to a cop of Bianca hmm.... standards going down you say ? Piers [ quoted text not captured ]

Screaming Vermillian

It appears they've stupidly started, by reprinting what they printed in their quarterly trade magazine or whatever that is.. At least give us die hards some more information! And don't make it SO obvious that it was a blatant reprint of the quarterly!!!

I was looking at the Ken Meyer Jr. site, and I saw this illustration for KMW, I think that it is the female Samedi that had everyone after her... http://www.kenmeyerjr.com/gothic/childe.html Check it out, N

[ quoted text not captured ] Thanks for the URL. That is what I thought Vermillian was screaming about, hense the name. That's no preview. It is a copy of a magazine article that was published 30 days ago with zero editing. Jeff Thompson provided that over a month ago. Hell, Jeff is doing a better job of promoting VTES and Kindred's Most Wanted than this new sales whatchimaface has, but then again what would I know..... Comments Welcome, Norman S. That image appeared in Kindred Most Wanted back in the 90s (the RPG supplement). The one right before it is Count Germaine, if I recall correctly. Before that is Tariq, the Silent. Both from the KMW supplement as well (again, IIRC). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. John Flournoy

[ quoted text not captured ] Keep in mind that is/was Ken's illustration for Genina for the V:tM RPG supplement similarly titled Kindred Most Wanted, about 10 years ago - it is NOT a new piece of art for KMW the V:tES expansion. Note the date beneath his initials in the lower right. (Though it'd be cool to see a Genina card in the KMW set.) -John Flournoy

Robert Goudie

[ quoted text not captured ] That looks like an interior piece he did the the KMW *book* published waaaay back. His new V:TES stuff is usually linked from his mainpage. -Robert
