Methuselah A has 1 pool.
Methuselah B has 2 pool.
Methuselah A's minion calls a Kine Resources Contested, allocating one point
to himself and 3 points to his prey, Methuselah B, who has no votes on the
table, nor any in his hand. Methuselah A plays a bribes, gaining one pool
immediately. The vote passes, and Methuselah B must burn three pool, and is
ousted. Methuselah A is triumphant.
The question is whether or not the KRC is a legal play, since the total pool
on the table is 3, and the number of points allocated is 4. Methuselah B
argued that since there are not 4 pool on the table, KRC does not have
enough legal targets to be played. I argued (and ruled) that KRC doesn't
count pool, it counts points, and there is no limit on the number of points
given to a Metheuselah (other than the limits imposed by the card), and the
number of points only matters when the vote is resolved. Was my ruling
correct?
