Agreed, also was great to meet and play with the Danish and Swedish contingents. > The Bad: > The Location: too small, too crowded, tiny tables And those damn stairs! Lots of decent eye candy though in the form of 'the blooddolls' as I think they were named > The Ugly: > The Judging (you would expect the Head Judge to have at least some > knowledge of the vtes and vekn rules, next time i´ll buy derek r. a > ticket to buapest) I had no bad experiances with the judging, even when my prey in one LCQ game decided to enact an extreem example of the bakija gambit (10 pool *poof*) they knew the rules on that well enough (it wasnt actually material however, as he was transfering to 1 pool to do it). As ever it was great to meet up with those I only knew online, and those I met at last years EC to play a few games/shoot the breeze, shame we didnt get the poker going (or that I didnt hang around for it to start) Friday night at the Marilyn club was pretty cool too, though im not sure rolling in at 4 or 5am was the best preparation for the Qualifier, in fact, I think I'll use that for my excuse for very bad scoring all weekend :O) See you next year, Anthony (bunter)

That was one of the best games ever :) >>The Bad: >>The Location: too small, too crowded, tiny tables > > > And those damn stairs! Lots of decent eye candy though in the form of > 'the blooddolls' as I think they were named In fact the location was very nice and even more nicely decorated (by pictures and girls, hehehe) but it had a few downsides because of the stairs and the small entry. Anyway the EC did run well and I guess it was a good experience for most of us. Probably there should be a little longer breaks because I found it very exhausting, but then again I had 3 rounds of almost 2 hours. >>The Ugly: >>The Judging (you would expect the Head Judge to have at least some >>knowledge of the vtes and vekn rules, next time i惻l buy derek r. a >>ticket to buapest) > > > I had no bad experiances with the judging, even when my prey in one LCQ > game decided to enact an extreem example of the bakija gambit (10 pool > *poof*) they knew the rules on that well enough (it wasnt actually > material however, as he was transfering to 1 pool to do it). I didn愒 have problems with judging too, in fact we almost never needed to call a judge because the players were getting along nicely. > As ever it was great to meet up with those I only knew online, and > those I met at last years EC to play a few games/shoot the breeze, > shame we didnt get the poker going (or that I didnt hang around for it > to start) Blame it on me, after eating I was soooooo tired that I just got to the hotel and dropped to sleep. > Friday night at the Marilyn club was pretty cool too, though > im not sure rolling in at 4 or 5am was the best preparation for the > Qualifier, in fact, I think I'll use that for my excuse for very bad > scoring all weekend :O) What happens in Budapest stays in Budapest, so no more of this! :-))) (downstairs was good, though). -- johannes walch

The Good: The Ambiente with all poeple were really nice. I meet a loot of people which I met in Heidelberg. The Austrian Pussycat ;-) was playing good games.( And it was really the best game was I played on this weekend) The Ugly People try to deal and break the deals within one or two rounds, so in that fact I loose 2 tables, but I have learned and will punish next time the players which are talking to much. I don't want a new discussion for dealing, but my reaction will be a Rush decks which can punish those bitc....(you know what I mean :-) Be afraid of the Austrian Rat, I will get you :-) the buddah

Wasn't a perfect location (too far from hotel -especially on the Saturday morning). The Hungarians were very welcoming and it was certinaly a chnage to be surrounded by glamourous 'blood doll's whilst playing. I'm just glad I was able to curb your prices Stefan (I still want that 5% cut!) 'Stefan and Hugh's Card Sales Ltd. -available Vienna March 2006' :P Was good to see everyonbe and I blame Anthonys snoring from 4 doors down for my great performance! At least I ended up with some silverwear even if it did cost me 25€ £5 $10 and 5000 HUF :D see you all in Turin (Don't forget to bring the blood dolls)
