Praxis Seizure: Columbia, SC 1999 attracted players from Georgia, North Carolina, and even Washington, D.C., 18 players in all. The tournament was crawling with combat decks - and most of those were Bru/!Bru decks. So contesting (and deal-making to avoid contesting) was common. Finalists, in order, were: 1) 7VP 156TP Conor Key (NC) - Toreador Aching Beauty 2) 7VP 150TP Stuart Pieloch (GA) - Gangrel Prince Pool Gain & Garou 3) 6VP 150TP Stayce Hodge (NC) - Small Cap. Obfuscate Night Moves 4) 6VP 126TP Brian Wellington (DC) - Large Cap. Toreador Pool Gain 4) 5VP 132TP David Tatu (GA) - Brujah & Brujah Antitribu Combat Seating position in the finals was: Stayce, David, Conor, Brian, Stuart Conor contested Anson with Brian (their only controlled minion at the time) at the start of the game. Brian finally yielded many turns later when he had only one pool left. But the contest cost them both a lot of pool. David eventually "ousted" Conor, but Stu gave Conor 8 pool through a Life Boon (Stu's Pool Gain working well enough to fund several Garou and still Boon Conor across the table). Stu's Garou and David's Brujah kept Stayce's swarm at bay for a long time, but David eventually fell. Brian, never able to get rolling with Anson contested, was eventually ousted by Conor (with Stu getting the VP). Conor then ousted himself in his influence phase to speed the game along. Stayce: 2 VP, Stuart: 3 VP Stu's deck: Giuliano Vincenzi Chandler Hungerford Ricki Van Demsi 3 Ingrid Rossler 2 Katarina Basilia 2 Angus the Unruled Stanislava Ecoterrorists Zoo Hunting Ground 10 Minion Tap 2 Blood Doll 2 Parthenon Protected Resources 2 Information Highway Life Boon Ivory Bow Palatial Estate 7 Renegade Garou 4 Form of Mist 10 Fifth Tradition 7 Second Tradition 9 Freak Drive 5 Skin of Steel 3 Deflection 4 Earth Control 4 Rolling with the Punches -- L.
