Why work to slow down the game rather than speed it up?

Wanna really slow down a game? pass a Reversal of Fortune first.
While you're at it, pass a First Tradition: Masquerade too.

Uh...you mean Politcal Stranglehold, don't you?
Autarkis Persecution really rewards weenie decks which are usually
faster, so that's not a good idiea. Ancient Influence/Stranglehold are
okay but they can only be used once each. Using the Fifth Traditional
Hopsital/Minion Tap combo works by giving you more pool.
However, lots of pool gain won't help you if your predator has a rush
combat deck, a political deck that banishes/burns vampires or a
Corruption/Temptation/Mind Rape deck. At one point, A few of us were
working on a deck that made you discard your entire deck.
You're better served by speeding up your game than trying to compensate
for a slow one. I do realize that some really neat deck concepts take a
while to set up...but you don't get to see it work well if your predator
is bleeding you for 3+ at a time with a bunch of Presence weenies.
