hello everybody, I was wondering how ghoul retainer works when a vampire with ghoul plays disguised weapon and a magnum.44. Can this vampire immediately 'give' this weapon to ghoul, and let ghoul use the weapon's inherent maneuver? What happens if the opposing minion maneuvers back and plays immortal grapple? Does it depend on whether or not the first vampire gave his disguised weapon immediately to ghoul (let ghoul use the maneuver)? Is it possible for ghoul to use the magnum.44 when its contolling vampire is engaged in an immortal grapple? Is this any different when the ghouled vampire uses the magnum himself, therefore losing his strike when the opposing minion played immortal grapple? Thanks again, jan willem (the Netherlands)

In article <384CF3...@planet.nl>, [ quoted text not captured ] Hi, First, disguise weapon only give the ability to equip to the acting vampire, because she/he have using the discipline not the ghoul, thus, the retainer can't equip with this card. Second, inmortal grapple text says "only hand strike can used in this round" and the ghoul losing his strike for the efect of the card. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

No. The Ghoul can only use the weapon "during strike resolution", by card text. > What happens if the opposing minion maneuvers back and plays immortal > grapple? If the vampire maneuvered with the .44, then he'll lose his strike altogether if he is grappled (since he is committed to striking with the .44). > it possible for ghoul to use the magnum.44 when its contolling vampire > is engaged in an immortal grapple? If the "ghouled vampire" (I assume that means "the vampire employing the Ghoul" - "ghouled vampire" is a contradiction in terms), maneuvered with the .44, then the Ghoul cannot use the .44 during strike resolution, by card text. If the vampire did not use the .44 to maneuver, then the Ghoul is free to use the .44 during strike resolution even if his employer is grappled. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
