OK V:TES Junkies, here's a couple of questions for yer:
1)What card currently has the most text on it (excluding Flavour text
and the card title)? To qualify, I guess we are looking at the most
words and then characters.
2)Then the opposite: what card has the least text on it?
I was having an idle argument with someone and have a few ideas...
1) Week of Nightmares? 110 words, 465 characters (not counting spaces)
2) Computer Hacking? 5 words, 20 characters
Can these be beat?
Cheers

I know it for sure. Best card in the game. Fata Ameria! 115 words 542
characters

Text on Ascendance:
Master.
Gain 1 pool.
It is our destiny, our birthright, to rule.

But the original question specifically stated "excluding
flavor text", and besides, didn't specifically say "the latest
wording of a card", just "a card".
So I pick the Jyhad version of Ascendance. :) :P

Computer Hacking has only 4 words. The (D) symbol is not a word (nor is
it three characters).
> Can these be beat?
Form of the Ghost/Gleam of the Red Eyes have 2 words and 15 characters each.
There are three other cards with only 3 words.
Call the Great Beast has 116 words.

Oh, and there are quite a few crypt cards with 0 words (the single word
on the card comes only by ruling/errata). Dollface, etc. :-)

How do you GET these stats? Don't tell me you were up all night
checking
;)

OK, but when I say "cards" I mean "Library cards". When I say "vamps"
I mean "crypt cards".
Should have qualified it, though.

Yes, but one of those it the cheeky (D) symbol. If we allow it, sure.
It only has 517 characters though, vs Fata Amira's 531 and 113 words
(again one being the (D) symbol.
Still pretty cool, though

No. I already affirmed that (D) symbols don't count. With the (D) as
a word, CtGB has 117 words.

The stated puzzle was "most words and *then* characters".
My character counts come to 524 for Call and 529 for Fata, BTW
(Not counting whitespace or (D) symbols). What are you counting as
characters?

Yeah, but on reflection the size of the words seems to make quite a
difference. Working out the both shows that Fata Amira is really
Fatter Amira as far as text in the box goes. CtGB is not quite a
text-y, but a way cooler card!
If I were to start again, I'd say characters only, with words as a
runner up matter. C'mon LSJ, you know I never think these things
through!
;)

> characters?
Well, I'm cheating by copying and pasting the text into Word '97 and
using Word Count. Spaces aren't counted, but I guess gramatic stuff
shows up (full stops, brackets, etc).
Who knows!
Hmmm... has anyone ever compiled a "V:TES BOOK OF RECORDS" or
anything? Y'know, Most text, least text, Most expensive card
(Ziallahs), biggest natural bleeding vamp (Spiridonas), etc etc...
that sort of stuff. Fun for the whole family! Good insight for
newbies, stupid enough for old hands to look up.
Good inspiration for the design team too: "Man, we've GOTTA break the
"most expensive card" record"
:)

If you let Spiri be the biggest "natural" bleeder, then Secret
Horde should be the most expensive card.
