Simplicity. Canine Horde: Destroy weapon First Strike Acrobatics: Dodge with additional strike Scenario: George taps Gitane to defend against Pif, who is bleeding him with Bianca, who has a .44 Magnum. Bianca moves to long range, thus committing to a strike with said weapon. Bianca is acting, so George is gets to see her strike first. Pif knows George's deck, and plays Acrobatics. George and Pif get in a fist fight, because George doesn't think Bianca can dodge aith a Magnum. Pif wins. What do you think? Thanks Dennis ti...@is.dal.ca

Since Bianca is committed to her Strike: .44, she can't play Acrobatics for a Strike: Dodge. George/Gitane can play Canine Horde to destroy the .44 and cancel Bianca's strike. (After these strikes have been resolved, Bianca can then play the Acrobatics for an additional strike at long range [without the .44], if she so wishes.) In retrospect, if Pif "knows George's deck", he shouldn't have manuevered with the .44 at all in the first place. Then Bianca can play the Acrobatics, then use the .44 for the additional strike. -- "Live Life with Heart." Alan Kwan kw...@cs.cornell.edu

If she still has the gun after the first round of strikes is resolved, she could play a card to give her additional strike(s) with the gun, then again, she might play an additional strike card and throw a gate, sewer lid, etc. If Pif really knew George's deck, then Bianca should not have manuvered, in which case the acrobatics card would have worked quite well.... If your minion gets additional strikes, any strike can be used for the additionals, including firing the gun again. This means you cannot use two weapons to maneuver in the same round. However, if you get additional strikes that round, you may choose to strike with something other than the weapon you maneuvered with. -- ----- L. But this does raise an interesting question: Can the gun's strike be used on the additional strike gained? One is still using the gun for one's strike, just not the one immediately after the maneuver. For the record, I don't think so. Pif cannot play the Acrobatics, since doing so would be a strike, and using the gun to maneuver commits Pif to striking with that gun on the initial strike of the run. [ quoted text not captured ]
