Question regarding Improvised Flamethrower

A minion with the Improvised Flamethrower in combat takes "2 aggravated (non-strike) damage" when hit at long range by the opposing minion. Does environmental damage, such as Carrion Crows or Murder of Crows, count in this regard? I'm honestly not sure whether it's inflicted by the opposing minion. Thanks, Patrick
