Fatima has much blood, a Ghoul Retainer, an Ivory Bow and Assault
Rifle. She gets into combat and uses Shadow Feint at OBF/CEL giving
her First Strike. Her opponent is a vampire with 3 blood.
Fatima stays at close range and chooses to use the Ivory Bow. The
Ghoul uses the Assault Rifle. What happens?
A. The opposing vampire goes to torpor with 3 blood because the Ivory
Bow damage is resolved immediately at first strike.
B. The opposing vampire burns because he doesn't have enough blood to
heal the normal damage, so the aggravated damage burns him.
Fatima stays at close range and chooses to use the Assault Rifle. The
Ghoul uses the Ivory Bow. What happens?
A. The opposing vampire goes to torpor with 0 blood because the
Assault Rifle damage is resolved immediately at first strike.
B. The opposing vampire burns because he doesn't have enough blood to
heal the normal damage, so the aggravated damage burns him.
Further question, is there any way at all to make Shadow Feint more
useful for burning a vampire in this situation? Doesn't appear so. It
seems the main advantage to first strike in this scenario is to allow
Fatima to avoid taking damage since effects happen at first strike.

That is the primary advantage of First Strike in most cases, yes.

Does this mean that Fats strikes with First Strike but the Ghoul
Retainer strikes in the normal strike phase?
[ quoted text not captured ]
The Ghoul Retainer does not have text enabling it to act during First
Strike Resolution, so its effect happens during (Normal) Strike
Resolution.
