If I play Carrion Crows, is that damage considered inflicted by my minion, or is it just envrionmental damage? For example, if I play Carrion Crows, and my vampire and the opposing vampire punch for one, can I play Disarm? Relevant card texts: Carrion Crows [Sabbat, SW] Cardtype: Combat Discipline: Animalism Only usable before range is chosen. Opposing minion takes 1R damage each round of combat during strike resolution. A vampire can only play one Carrion Crows each combat. (S) As above, but with 2R damage. Disarm [Sabbat, SW] Cardtype: Combat Discipline: Potence Only usable at the end of a round of combat in which this vampire successfully inflicted more damage at close range than the opposing vampire; not usable by a vampire going into torpor. Put this card on the opposing vampire and send that vampire into torpor. The vampire with this card has -1 strength; he or she may burn this card by burning 3 blood. A vampire can have only one Disarm. (S) As above, but the vampire with this card has -2 strength. I think the answer to my question is "no", but I just want to make sure. -- James Hamblin ham...@math.wisc.edu

Relevant ruling: Damage (Combat) * Damage is only considered to have come from a minion if the damage is from a strike or if an effect specifically states that the damage is dealt by the minion. Damage from other effects is considered "environmental," and has no particular source. [RTR 30-JUN-1997] -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Speaking of environmental damage that deals damage during strike resolution: A while back, there was this discussion over First Strike (I think) and there was some question as to whether First Strike had a separate strike resolution. So: If Minion A has First Strike and will send Minion B to torpor, does Minion B's Carrion Crows take into effect? Halcyan 2

No, because combat is over (due to a minion being in torpor) before "normal" strike resolution. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D EBD690ECD7A1F What's the meaning when you speak with so much feeling?
