So... Its a hand strike, that after it is resolved, will end combat. Now where does damage come into play? In the final nights rule book it says the steps of combat are: 1. determine range (not concerned with) 2. Determine and resolve strikes 3. Press Ok... now where, in this order, do we apply damage? I would assume during strike resolution... Unless of course there's another phase immediately after resolve strikes called damage resolution... I'm not sure... Anyhow.... lets go through an example somehow... The Beast attacks Blanch Hill who has 3 blood on her. Blanch Hill does not block the attack. The beast throws Increased Strength, Blanche sits and smiles. Beast doesn't maneuver nor does Blanche. Beast throws an immortal grapple right before punching with, oh... his hands, for a lot. Blanche, having new cards available to her, as she IS a new card, as well, throws Anesthetic touch. Now, beast's strike resovles first. Blanche takes loads of damage. Blanches strike resolve. She taps beast for one (resolving the strike), and combat ends. This happened simultaneously according to final nights rule book, page 38. Now, as combat ends, immediately after resolving the hand strike from blanche... what happens? Do they heal (lose blood?). Does blanche go to torpor? Does beast lose one blood form Blanche ping him? I'm confused! Where's (when's) the stage where we lose blood?!? ~Screaming Vermillian

Yes, during strike resolution (assuming the damage is done during strike resolution). Damage resolution is done any time damage is applied. No. Assuming neither strike was done at First Strike, they resolve simultaneously. If the AT was done at superior, then it resolves before Beast's non-FS hand strike. Strike resolution of AT: apply damage or other effects - prevent damage - heal damage (prevent destruction) Then, after the above (strike resolution), combat ends. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Only problem with your example is that if Beast uses an Immortal Grapple, Blanche cannot play Combat:Ends as a strike. Someone else will fill you in on the rest; Bernie

But she can make a hand strike. For example, she can use Anesthetic Touch at obe or OBE. [ quoted text not captured ]
