Question for LSJ (and those who ANLSJ): Vamp A taps to bleed Vamp B attempts to block Vamp A plays kiss of Ra; Vamp B goes to torpor. Is Vamp B tapped? So if another minion grave robs Vamp B, is vamp B able to act? Kevin, Kiss of Ra junkie

[ quoted text not captured ] You mean "react"? No, it's in Torpor. Minions in torpor cannot react. Further, the only actions they can take is to "get out of torpor" unless otherwise specified by card text (ie, Movement of the Slow Body, Regeneration, etc). Sorrow --- I don't want to be alone | I hurt, therefore I am anymore |-------------------------------- I don't want to be anyone | "What are you looking at...? anymore | you never seen anyone try to I don't need a reason to kill myself | commit suicide before?" - Anon ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grave Robbing rescues vamp B, making it ready again. Precise sequence of actions I need a clarification on: Vamp A taps to bleed. Vamp B attempts to block. Vamp A plays "kiss of Ra" sending B to torpor. is B tapped? Vamp A plays "Freak Drive" to untap. Vamp A taps to play "Grave robbing" at superior, taking B out of torpor, and changing Vamp B's controller. Now the same player controls Vamp A and B. Can B take an action, or was B tapped by the block of the original bleed? If B is not tapped, this combo becomes even more evil. LSJ? Anyone? Does Kiss of Ra leave the blocker tapped? Kevin

A successful block taps the blocking vampire, so I'd say that KoR leaves the vamp tapped. Regards, R. David Zopf Atom Weaver (& V:EKN Prince of Charlotte, NC)

Can B take an action, or was > B tapped by the block of the original bleed? He is not tapped (unless he was tapped before the block attempt, and used Wake or somesuch to attempt to block). Kiss of Ra interrupts the block process at the "attempt" stage, before the block is successful (and before the blocker would become tapped and before combat would occur). Kiss of Ra then blocks the action itself (like Brujah Frenzy does) and causes the loss of blood (and trip to torpor, if superior). > LSJ? Anyone? Does Kiss of Ra leave the blocker tapped? It leaves the blocker in whatever tapped/untapped state that he was in prior to the Kiss. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
