No. I've only ever seen him use his special once (per intent). Someone else just asked the question over email, alerting me to the error in implementation. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Since it doesn't use "during", no. [ quoted text not captured ]

His ability to hand out little chunks of +1 intercept all around the table at will is far, far more powerful than Tusk's ability to give himself +90 stealth. David Cherryholmes Duke Radiology P.E.T. Maris's ability functions as designed. [ quoted text not captured ]

I'm gonna make that dart board for you > one of these days, Scott. ? You attempted to derive a reason for Maris to receive errata based on an incorrect assumption as to why Tusk received errata. I attempted to correct that assumption: Tusk received errata not because the card text as written led to a power imbalance, but because it didn't function as intended (and also contrary to intuition). Since Maris functions as intended (and follows intuition), the fact that Tusk received errata isn't a foundation upon which to build a case for errata'ing Maris. If you wish Maris to be errata'ed, demonstrate the need to errata him. So whence the dart board comment? [ quoted text not captured ]

The way that the two vampires' abilities are worded is almost identical. You can't make an appeal (or an aside) to intuition with one and not the other. All that leaves is "designer intent", which is entirely opaque to anyone who is not the designer. Thus, end of discussion. > If you wish Maris to be errata'ed, demonstrate the need to errata him. Right after you define "need" comprehensively. > So whence the dart board comment? It was intended to be good-natured, but you know.... [THUNK] "Needs fixing." [THUNK] "Designer intent." [THUNK] "Costs a blood." [THUNK] "Fine as is." [THUNK] "Keep screwing Assamites." .... etc etc. :) [ quoted text not captured ]

Just to be clear.. can Maris give someone as much intercept as he likes (limitted by blood obviously)? Was looking at the text so i had a look at Tusk too..."When Tusk declares an action you may..." I would have thought from this that you could only do it once -after that it isn't when he declares the action anymore. (you can do more than one effect at the same time when declaring an action but obviously you can't do more than one of these simlutaneously)

Even more. She can burn 1 blood to grand +1 intercept. If acting plays another +1 stealth, she can burn a blood again... Tempted Maris once, with Madame guil. It was fun to grand +6 intercept to my prey's minion while it was blocking maris :-P Tom

And it also costs 3 blood. It's harder to obtain this effect than it is to play rotschreck imho. besides this, the change on Psyche vs rotschreck was intentional. The consequence of this change is that we have a reaction card which is now trumped and needs errata/clarification. And we cannot obtain that since it seems that nobody plays with this card. I just claim that you're les likely to find Tusk Adv in a deck that you are likely to find LoP =) ::::: Does anyone use Tusk? ::: ::: at least the use of tusk is not greater to the use of LoP. :: :: It might be if he was unblockable ;-P yaaaaay ! unblockable bleed for one, at the expense of 5 library cards ! how abusive is that ? =)
