Due to a problem a friend of mine is having, I've come up with the following ally. Probably most appropriate for the Ravnos to have this ally, but will leave it clan-less for now: Group of Hippies Ally no cost 1 life 0 Strength 0 bleed The Group of Hippies may take a +1 stealth (d) action to inhabit any location. If this action is successful, place the Group of Hippies on that location. Only one Group of Hippies can be on a given location at any time. The hippies are not considered controlled while inhabiting a location. While inhabited, the location cannot be used. The methusalah controlling the location can use a master phase action and discard one master card or spend 1 pool as a master phase action to move the hippies to another location. If there are no ready locations, move the hippies to your ready region. You now control the hippies. I was considering adding some flavor elemennt of "if you control more than one Group of Hippies, burn one pool during your untap phase for each Group of Hippies in excess of 1 that you control." I think that might lead to abuse, though, so I don't know. I was also considering adding a clause that says "the Group of Hippies cannot take action card actions or play combat cards." Go ahead and use it if you like, White Wolf. You're free to. If you do, let me give a quote for the flavor text (if there's room) or at least do the art for that card (I'd even do it for free). How funny would it be to see a Group of Hippies ally in the Anarch set? Fairly appropriate, I'd imagine...counter-culturalists and all... Thoughts?

Just as far as wording goes, you're probably better off just using a simple "target" mechanic, rather than placing the Hippies on a location, since that has no real meaning in V:tES. Guard Duty is a good example of how to phrase this. Counters might also work, but you might then have to throw something in about the hippies not untapping while they have a Hippie Counter in play. Hmm. Tricky. Cleaned-up wording (scraped together from Guard Duty and Seeds of Corruption) might be something like: Group of Hippies Mortal Ally 0 cost 1 life 0 strength 0 bleed Group of Hippies may take a +1 stealth (D) action to choose a location. Only one Group of Hippies may select a given location at one time. The location selected by Group of Hippies cannot be used for any special abilties (nor can it be tapped for an effect); the Methuselah controlling the selected location can [do X] to choose a new location that the Hippies target. If there are no ready locations, the Methuselah controlling the selected location takes control of the Hippies. A little long, but what're ya gonna do? Xian pt-player in a previous lifetime

Group of Hippies Mortal Ally 0 cost 1 life 0 strength 0 bleed Group of Hippies may take a +1 stealth (D) action to place themselves on a location card which does not have a Group of Hippies on it (their controller does not change). Whilst they are on it, that card's special effect text is blank. That card's controller can move the Group to a new location card, or take control of the Group if there are no other ready locations, by [doing X]. -- James Coupe PGP 0x5D623D5D Don't just clap. [ quoted text not captured ] It gave my friend who's roommate allowed a hippie to infest their place a good laugh last night. He used to play regularly, but alas is gone from the game now. Perhaps he would come back if he knew he could kill hippies with vampires.
