Here's the deck: Deck name: Possession is 9/10 of the Law Created by: Rob Grau Crypt: (21 cards) [Min: 12, Max: 38, Avg: 7.00] 1 Anson (Toreador, 8, au CE do PR, Prince) 1 Cardano (Tremere, 9, an au ce DO FO TH, Prince) 2 Carlotta Giovanni (Giovanni, 7, do NE ob PO) 1 Constanza Vinti (Brujah, 8, CE DO PO, Prince) 1 Donal O'Connor (Brujah, 8, CE DO PO, Prince) 1 Francois Villon (Toreador, 10, AU CE ch ob po PR, Prince) 1 Gilbert Duane (Malkavian, 7, AU DO OB, Prince) 1 Greger Anderssen (Malkavian, 7, AU do OB pt, Prince) 1 Ingrid Rossler (Gangrel, 9, AN do FO PT, Prince) 1 Lazar Dobrescu (Ravnos, 3, fo) 1 Murat (Nosferatu, 7, OB PO se, Prince) 1 Queen Anne (Ventrue, 10, au DO FO PR ob, Prince) 2 Rafaele Giovanni (Giovanni, 6, ce NE ob) 1 Salbatore Bokkengro (Ravnos, 4, CH fo pt) 1 Sasha Miklos (Ravnos, 2, ch) 1 Selma the Repugnant (Nosferatu, 8, an fo OB PO, Prince) 1 Spiridonas (Tremere, 9, DO po pr TH, Prince) 1 Suhailah (Ventrue, 9, FO OB po se, Prince) 1 Tsigane (Ravnos, 3, au ch) Library: (90 cards) *Masters 8 Goodnight, Sweet Prince 8 Minion Tap 2 Recruitment *Minion 1 Bonding 3 Clan Impersonation 6 Cloak the Gathering 6 Conditioning 7 Deflection 4 Faceless Night 9 Fifth Tradition: Hospitality, The 1 Forced Awakening 2 Forgotten Labyrinth 7 Govern the Unaligned 4 Lost in Crowds 1 Obedience 8 Possession 5 Second Tradition: Domain 1 Swallowed by the Night 2 Threats 5 Wake with Evening's Freshness --- I don't know why it got 11 VPs. The crypt is ugly, ugly, ugly, and should be halved. Looking at the library, I'd probably swap the FA for a sixth wake, 3 conditionings for bondings, drop a clan impersonation, add an obedience, and turn two faceless nights into elder impersonations. ELDB side note: I didn't get any crypt stats on my newly created deck until I closed the it and reopened it. I taking a wild guess that this was similar to KM's problem. Rob Grau rfg...@eos.ncsu.edu *Don't forget to vote for your favorite deck name.

Firstly, add Rudolpho. As a 3 with NEC, he should be your Possession workhorse. Secondly, add Guiseppe, Gravedigger. Since the big need for stealth for your deck is for the Possessions, you'll want a single card that can provide all the stealth at once. If you can shuffle things around enough, include a couple of Justicars, ICs, or Justicar votes and Might of the Camarilla. That's just a possibility, however. John Baker

Guiseppe is still a retainer. As it stands: Rudolpho+Guiseppe+Possession equals 2 actions, 2 cards, possession at one stealth Carlotta+Cloak+Possession equals 1 action, 2 cards, possession at one stealth With obfuscate, you can continue to add stealth, (like when your prey plays a Second Tradition) Without obfuscate, you best be playing at an intercept free table. That doesn't happen so often. I may toss in a copy of Guiseppe, (since Carlotta and Rafaele can use him) but I think I'll pass on Rudolpho. > If you can shuffle things around enough, include a couple of > Justicars, ICs, or Justicar votes and Might of the Camarilla. > That's just a possibility, however. Yeah. It's just so nice to get back your 2 pool for GSP. We'll see what happens when I get bored. Thanks for the input, Rob Grau rfg...@eos.ncsu.edu

I then tried to streamline the GN,SP/Possession combo. No Minion Taps, only Blood Dolls. I put more Clan impersonation in, and four Necromancy masters. Notice I only have one vamp in the crypt with natural NE (or ne for that matter). Throw in a smattering of votes, pool gain, dominate, and obfuscate, and there you have it. Rob's deck is still better, I'm sure, but hey....I tried. KM

That way you won't be screwed by getting the 2nd Carlotta as your GSP vamp. I thought 18 masters in my previous deck was ick. I don't see the real need for Necromancy skill cards unless you put in some vamps with nec. You need NEC to make possession powerful, and putting 2 skill cards on one vamp with all of those other masters in the deck, well it just doesn't seem likely to happen. Besides, you've still got the recruitments to go get Carlotta. You might want to drop the Fortune Teller Shop. You'll be tapping your Ravnos, not taking actions with them. Votes (12) > 6 Banishment > 1 Dramatic Upheaval > 4 Kine Resources Contested > 1 Masquerade Enforcement Masquerade Enforcement just isn't that power, even when you're playing the perfect deck for it. By the time you normally get it in your hand, most people are through influencing. Stealth (19) > 2 Faceless Night > 4 Elder Impersonation > 2 Forgotten Labyrinth > 5 Lost in Crowds > 6 Spiritual Intervention More than enough. I suspect that the Spiritual Interventions will jam up having only 4 nec masters and Carlotta. Misc (37) > 4 Clan Impersonation > 6 Deflection > 5 Fifth Tradition: Hospitality, The > 4 Fourth Tradition: The Accounting > 6 Obedience > 6 Possession > 6 Second Tradition: Domain Why not Govern the Unaligned instead of the 4th traditions? You've got all the dominate in your crypt going to waste, and you can bleed the mess out of somebody when you're not using it for pool management. Also, be careful with the Clan Impersonations, they make a mess of voting. I prefered having the smaller Ravnos and using the Clan Impersonation as a bad work-around for not getting the guys in my crypt draw. > Basically, I wanted to cut down that huge crypt of Rob's. Don't blame you. I would too. It didn't work out as horribly as I expected, though. You just didn't see the same vamp twice. It was initially so large because I wanted to have enough vampires to burn for the GSP. I went a little overboard. > I then tried to > streamline the GN,SP/Possession combo. Good point on needing NEC...I'm worried about not getting Carlotta or Rafael quickly enough, even with the Recruitments... I thought I'd Clan Impersonate as many of my vamps as possible to Ravnos...that's why I have the Fortune Teller Shop (this was assuming I'd have vamps with NEC masters on them, but that idea may fade...), then I'd have the extra stealth if needed to use Possession, etc. with those vamps, while still having one to tap for GN, SP. > > Votes (12) > > 6 Banishment > > 1 Dramatic Upheaval > > 4 Kine Resources Contested > > 1 Masquerade Enforcement > > Masquerade Enforcement just isn't that power, even when you're playing > the perfect deck for it. Ahhh, I hadn't realized...clan impersonations cause princes to lose their titles, eh? Might have to add that master card that makes non-camarilla vamps into camarilla vamps (is it a master card?) > Why no Minion Taps when you are using Fifth Traditions? Explain. Because of the pool cost for actions/modifiers in the deck. Blood Dolls would be quick enough without draining my vamp down to "quick torpor" status. Plus, all those damn master cards were taking up so many slots. Thinking I should've left well enough alone, KM

I was thinking of Ravnos Acceptance (political action). That brings a question to mind: if I Clan Impersonate Gilbert Duane to Ravnos, does he lose his title? What if I play Ravnos Acceptance after the impersonation? Or before? LSJ? KM

Impersonating a non-Camarilla clan does, yes. You can Impersonate a Camarilla clan without losing your Prince title. Section 10 of the rulebook handles all of this. > > Might have to add that master card that makes > > non-camarilla vamps into camarilla vamps (is it a > > master card?) > > I was thinking of Ravnos Acceptance (political action). > That brings a question to mind: if I Clan Impersonate > Gilbert Duane to Ravnos, does he lose his title? > What if I play Ravnos Acceptance after the impersonation? > Or before? LSJ? As long as Gilbert is non-Camarilla, he loses the benefit of the Prince title. If he clan impersonates a non-Camarilla clan, then he becomes non-Camarilla and loses the benefit of the title. If (through Ravnos Acceptance, for example) he regains his Camarilla status, then he receives the benefit of his title. It must be your metagame. I'm much more used to low-intercept environments. However, keep in mind that Guiseppe is a permanent +1 stealth, while all Obfuscate stealth is temporary. That's what makes him useful. Secondly, don't knock Rudolpho too much. He's a cheap vampire (fully half the cost of Rafaele) so you should be able to throw him away if necessary. Pull him out in the early game, if you can, and use him before anyone gets their intercept ready, then let him be tossed, replacing him with Carlotta or Rafaele. John Baker

Two suggestions: First, add Ravnos Acceptance or Writs of Acceptance to maintain Camarilla membership when Ravnos. Secondly, add a couple of Third Traditions. Since you have to tap a Ravnos to use GSP, you might as well tap a weenie instead of a Prince. Also, consider ditching the Recruitment and Giovanni angle and adding a bunch of Necromancy skills. That might work out easier for you. John Baker

He might be more useful with an obfuscate master than Guiseppe. Otherwise it looks pretty even. Best case scenario: (Assuming no one has an info highway or an Ingrid Rossler or a ToRIII...) Rudolpho + cheap ravnos (Sasha Miklos) = 5 influence (2 influence phases) Turn 3: Play GSP and hope no one has a minion to block the 0 stealth possession action. -or- Turn 3: Get Guiseppe Turn 4: Possession at +1 stealth (Astute people might notice that you could potentially bring up Rudolpho first, get Guiseppe, then possess on turn three. I just saw that, It will occur about 50-60% of the time) Rafaele + cheap ravnos = 8 influence (2 or 3 influence phases) Turn 3: Play GSP and Possession - use stealth as necessary. -maybe- Turn 4: Play GSP and Possession - use stealth as necessary. Other solutions: Aforementioned obfuscate master. Normally I'm in favor of skill cards, but my possession deck is already packed with masters. I might squeeze one into the deck but the chances of getting it along with the best case scenario are slim. Spectral Divination - Necromancy Stealth. A good solution, but I don't feel it's right for my deck. I've stacked the crypt with princes that have obfuscate, so I can make use of the cards. There are zero princes with necromancy. --- I'm not disparaging Rudolpho, all the 3 capacity superior discipline vamps are cool. The obfuscate just makes Rafaele so much more versitale. (and a +1 bleed!) I think my comparison shows the speed of both are pretty even. I'll concede that Rudolpho might get it done a little quicker, on average, but I'll argue that Rafaele is a little more reliable, on average. Anyway, the goal of my deck isn't to scare people by getting a prince up on turn 3. I've got no combat defense for the rush that would generate. Rob Grau rfg...@eos.ncsu.edu

The titles make a nifty vote defense, but I didn't want to get stuck with a KRC when I needed a bonding. I'm not a big fan of PS and AI because each can only be played once in a game, and I can't be sure that other people won't have larger vamps than I do.
