Situation: Arika has anathama played on her by my predator. I play Minion Tap and then hunt with her. Predator intercepts and inflicts damage on Arika. According to the card text she is burned only if she is REDUCED to zero blood by damage, but she is already on zero blood. What happens? Thanks, Ian

[ quoted text not captured ] If she doesn't prevent the damage, she goes to torpor. If she does, she stays ready. Either way, Anathema won't be activated, since (as you say) she is not *reduced* to zero blood. Would that allow a vampire to burn his own blood paying costs (of combat cards) to "save" himself from Anathema? ANSWER: Yes. If the vampire is reduced to zero Blood due to combat damage, blood theft, etc., then Anathema's effect goes off. -- L.
