Vampire A is at 1 blood and is performing an unblocked action. A plays Daring the Dawn at inferior. Can A play Freak Drive at the end of the action, before taking the 2 agg damage? Freak Drive Type: Action Modifier Requires: Fortitude Cost: 1 blood [for] Only usable at the end of a successful action (after resolving the action). This vampire untaps. [FOR] As above, but usable even if the action is blocked (play after combat, if any). Daring the Dawn Type: Action Modifier Requires: Fortitude [for] Vampires cannot block this action. The acting vampire takes 2 unpreventable aggravated damage after the action resolves. [FOR] As above, but the acting vampire takes 1 unpreventable aggravated damage.

If you just want to have A untapped after the action, you could play the FD after A has gone into torpor anyway. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/05074f7e9ebae660 (unless the ruling from the link has been reversed) -YY

In the example above, he won't be untapped, he'll be burned: paying 1 for Freak Drive leaves xer empty. Then 2 agg from inferior Daring the Dawn burns xer. > http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/0507... [ quoted text not captured ]

For instance if the action is Legal Manipulations and the action is successful, the bleed and pool gain are resolved before Freak Drive is played. Or is the action only officially resolved after all what I would call after-resolution action modifiers? This is for anyone - please enlighten me about Freak Drive timing.

Both DtD's damage effect and the window to play Freak Drive are the same, allowing you to choose to play Freak Drive first or take the damage first. -YY

Aaron, I think you mixed up the resolution of the action and the "2 agg" effect that is not due to the action.
