1) Can Taste of Vitae be used to gain blood from ALL the strikes made in one round, or only from one strike in the strike resolution step? 2) If I play Trap, can I cancel later my mandatory press with an optional press to avoid second round of combat? Thanx

All strikes that have already occured in the round. > 2) If I play Trap, can I cancel later my mandatory press with an optional > press to avoid second round of combat? Yes, you can cancel the Trap's press. The Trap's press is not "your" press. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. This vampire gains an amount of blood equal to the amount lost by the opposing vampire to damage during this round of combat. Not usable by a vampire going to torpor. Blood loss counted by a previous Taste of Vitae is not counted again. You can use Taste after the last strike resolution in any given round, so if there where multiple strikes due to cards like Blur, you can taste the full amount of blood lost by your opponent from all strikes that round. >2) If I play Trap, can I cancel later my mandatory press with an optional >press to avoid second round of combat? > Card Text: Trap, Combat Only usable before range is determined on the first round. During the press step, if any Methuselah has played a card earlier in the current round or durin the two previous rounds, the Trap automatically provides a press to continue (either combatant can press to end). So yes, by card text. Does that include strikes made at range? I thought I remember somewhere that strikes at range didn't count for taste. Kevin

ToV specifies nothing about the range of the strikes in card text. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "Definitely a woman" - www.thespark.com/ Standard disclaimers apply to this post.
