So some more questions came up in play... 1) If Hector Trelaine is in combat and the opposing minion plays Rotschreck, is he still considered to be going to torpor "in combat"? Or does this stop him from burning? 2) If a minion blocks an action with Precognition at Superior, and the acting minion plays Psyche at Superior, does the blocking minion get to use the damage prevention effect of Precog in the new combat?

Google: "Rotschreck Amaranth author:LSJ" (Opposing minion cannot play Rotschreck, BTW -- minions cannot play master cards :-) > 2) If a minion blocks an action with Precognition at Superior, and the acting > minion plays Psyche at Superior, does the blocking minion get to use the > damage prevention effect of Precog in the new combat? No. Card text: "resulting combat" -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Or does this stop >him from burning? > Rotschreck causes the vampire to go to torpor after combat (not in combat). Thus Hector's disadvantage does not come into play. (This is also why you cannot Amaranth after Rotschreck. The torpor effect is outside of combat). >2) If a minion blocks an action with Precognition at Superior, and the acting >minion plays Psyche at Superior, does the blocking minion get to use the >damage prevention effect of Precog in the new combat? No. The combat effect from Precognition (and Spirit's Touch, etc.) can only be used in the *resulting* combat (the combat as a result of the block). A Psyche! combat is not the result of a block and thus the damage prevention is not valid. Note however that if a minion blocks the same action multiple times (due to wakes and action continue cards), he gains the damage prevention during each of those resulting combats. Halcyan 2
